Evgeni Plushenko, seventh time European champion

Russian skater Evgeni Plushenko on Saturday won for the seventh time the figure skating European Championship at Sheffield, according to AFP. Plushenko obtained a total of 261.23 points.

The silver medal went to Russian skater Artur Gacinski (246.27 points) and the third place went to France’s Florent Amodio (234.18).

The Russian became the third skater in history who has at least seven continental titles. Sweden’s Ulrich Salchow won nine titles and Austrian Karl Schaefer got eight titles.

In the spring of 2012, Plushenko will return to Bucharest for the fourth edition of Kings on Ice, with a new program and a new cast. He will be joined for the first time by numerous Olympic, world and European champions such as Stephane Lambiel and Brian Joubert, who promise an unusual experience, a dynamic show with impressive demonstrations against the musical tunes of Edvin Marton’s famous Stradivarius.

Tickets to King On Ice 2012 are available in Diverta stores and online on www.myticket.ro, at prices ranging between 100 and 400 lei. More details about the show will be released the following months.

 

Evgeni Plushenko, campion european pentru a şaptea oară

Patinatorul rus Evgheni Pluşenko a câştigat sâmbătă, pentru a şaptea oară, titlul de campion european la patinaj artistic, la Sheffield, conform AFP. Pluşenko a obţinut, în total, 261,23 de puncte.

Medalia de argint a revenit sportivului rus Artur Gacinski (246,27 puncte) iar pe locul trei a venit francezul Florent Amodio (234,18).

Rusul a devenit al treilea patinator din istori ce deţine cel puţin şapte titluri continentale. Suedezul Ulrich Salchow a obţinut nouă titluri şi austriacul Karl Schaefer a obţinut opt.

In primavara lui 2012, Plushenko va reveni la Bucuresti cu ocazia celei de-a patra editii Kings On Ice, de aceasta data cu un nou program, alaturi de o noua distributie. I se vor alatura, pentru prima data in aceasta formula, Stephane Lambiel si Brian Joubert, alaturi de numerosi alti campioni olimpici, mondiali si europeni care promit publicului roman o experienta inedita, un spectacol dinamic, cu o noua serie de numere si demonstratii impresionante sub acordurile muzicale ale celebrului Stradivarius manuit de Edvin Marton.
