Members of the Toronto Triumph team decided to lend their support by stripping for the cause. In one photo, the girls are covered by a helmet, football and a couple of shoulder pads with the four players going bare with the field as their backdrop.

Another photo features the players in their skimpy uniforms with the headline Tackle Cruelty: Bench Fur. The players even took part in a PETA demonstration at Toronto's Eaton Center earlier this week, the Huffington Post reports.

The idea is to encourage people not to buy Christmas gifts that involve fur. The four women also took part in a video where they urge people not to put fur on their holiday shopping lists. 

But not all the video is easy on the eyes. It also shows rabbits being electrocuted and circus elephants being whipped.

Organizația PETA a găsit o nouă armă împotriva celor care încalcă drepturilor animalelor, și anume o „armată” de sportive sexy pozând goale sau în costume cât mai “sugestive”, totul pentru a convinge întreaga lume că „blănurile înseamnă crimă”, potrivit Daily Mail.

Sportivele care iau parte la Lingerie Football League, campionatul de fotbal american în lenjerie intimă, au decis să dea o mână de ajutor activiştilor PETA.

Astfel, membrele echipei Toronto Triumph au devenit vedete şi în afara terenului.

Renunţând la o parte a echipamentului lor deja sumar, fotbalistele au lăsat terenul şi balonul oval pentru o şedinţă foto.

Mai mult, jucătoarele au luat parte la mitingul organizat de PETA în Toronto, potrivit Huffington Post.

Sportivele au susţinut următorul mesaj: „Oprește cruzimea. Scoate blana pe banca de rezerve”.

„Când porţi blană eşti în off-side. Având o abundenţă de materiale călduroase, rezistente şi la modă, nu există nicio scuză pentru oricine ar purta pielea unui animal”, a declarat purtătoarea de cuvânt a PETA, Emily Lavender.
