German discounter Lidl, which announced its intention to enter the Romanian market, bought from PepsiAmericas  a land plot in Rahova- Ferentari area, where it’s planning to open the first store in Bucharest. The store will be located near another German discounter, Penny Market with 100 stores in Romania, part of Rewe group, Capital magazine writes.

The 11.000 land plot, bought by Lidl against 3.2 million Euro is located on Str Doina in Bucharest sector 5 and used to be a distribution centre for PepsiAmericas.

Lidl is part of the German group Schwarz, which is also present on the Romanian market with the hypermarket chain Kaufland, a discounter as well. Lidl bought land plots in various locations of Romania on which it plans to open stores. The retailer is negotiating with the German retailer Tenglemann the taking over of the discount chain Plus counting almost 100 stores in Romania.

Discounter-ul german Lidl, care si-a anuntat intentia de a intra pe piata din Romania a achizitionat de la PepsiAmericas un teren in zona Rahova- Ferentari, unde planuieste sa deschida primul magazin din Bucuresti. Magazinul va fi situat langa un alt discounter german, Penny Market cu 100 de magazine in Romania, parte din grupul Rewe, scrie revista Capital.

Terenul de 11.000 de metri pătraţi, cumpărat de Lidl pentru 3,2 milioane de Euro, este situat pe strada Doina din sectorul 5 al Capitalei si funcţiona drept centru de distribuţie.

Lidl face parte din grupul german Schwarz, care mai este prezent pe piaţa românească şi cu reţeaua de hipermarketuri Kaufland, tot cu profil de discount. Lidl a cumpărat terenuri în mai multe localităţi din România pe care intenţionează să construiască magazine. Retailerul poartă negocieri cu retaielrul german Tenglemann pentru preluarea reţelei de discount Plus care numără aproape 100 de magazine în România.
