Tension ran high at a meeting between PM Emil Boc and PDL lawmakers on Tuesday. Present at the session to discuss legislative priorities for the Parliament session that starts on Tuesday, the prime minster was cornered by party colleagues who are upset with latest developments and suggested Boc should leave Victoria Palace, Gandul writes.
The offensive was led by Senate Speaker Vasile Blaga, who told Boc a “wider movement” in the government is needed and that a mere reshuffle is insufficient, sources present at the talks told Gandul.
Blaga was backed by Deputy Cezar Preda, who also suggested Boc should leave. Beyond the discontent over the image deficit Boc reflects onto the party, PDL lawmakers criticized the prime minister for not allocating enough money to their constituencies. They said that although the party’s leadership decided to have the money allocated to mayors’ offices directly, the change has not been yet made the funds continue to arrive through county councils.
“So what is this? We are in power and it’s still the opposition that takes the money? We have only 14 county councils and they have the rest,” a PDL MP said.
When asked after the session whether he was asked to resign, Boc said, “We talked about various political aspects. What matters is that both the party and the government know what needs to be done. I told my colleagues that we know very well what has to be done.”

Venit la şedinţă să discute despre priorităţile legislative pentru sesiunea care începe mâine, premierul a fost încolţit de colegii de partid care, nemulţumiţi de evoluţiile din ultima perioadă, i-au sugerat nici mai mult nici mai puţin decât că ar fi bine să ia în calcul să plece de la Palatul Victoria, scrie Gandul
În linia de forţă a fost preşedintele Senatului, Vasile Blaga, care i-a spus lui Boc că este nevoie de "o mişcare mai amplă" în Guvern, o simplă remaniere nefiind suficientă, au declarat pentru gândul surse participante la discuţie.
El a fost susţinut şi de deputatul PDL Cezar Preda care, la rândul său, i-a sugerat lui Boc că ar fi mai bine să plece. Dincolo de nemulţumirea faţă de deficitul de imagine pe care Boc îl atrage asupra partidului, parlamentarii PDL i-au cerut socoteală premierului şi pentru că nu le dă bani suficienţi pentru colegii. Ei au atras atenţia că, deşi în BPN s-a decis ca banii să meargă direct la primării, modificările nu au fost operate, iar fondurie vin în teritoriu tot prin intermediul consiliilor judeţene.
"Păi ce facem? Noi suntem la putere şi tot Opoziţia ia banii? Că noi avem doar 14 consilii judeţene, iar ei au restul", i-ar fi spus deputatul PDL Constantin Dascălu lui Boc.
Întrebat la finalul şedinţei dacă i s-a cerut depunerea mandatului de către colegii de partid, Emil Boc a afirmat : "În termeni generali am discutat mai multe aspecte politice. Important e că şi ca partid, şi ca Guvern, ştim ce avem de făcut. Le-am spus colegilor că ştim foarte bine ce avem de făcut şi ce avem de propus".
