Germany’s most awarded pair of skaters - Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy – will arrive in Bucharest on April 11 in a remarkable figure skating show - Kings on Ice - Olympic Tour 2010! The two will be joining current European champion Evgeni Plushenko and vice champion Stephane Lambiel in a magic show on Mihai Flamaropol skating rink, which will also bring together world ice skating’s most important figures. The skaters will be accompanied by famous violinist Edvin Marton, according to organizers Amphitrion.

Freshly awarded the silver medal in last month’s European Figure Skating Championship in Tallinn, Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy will arrive in Romania with 14 other champions, for a show that will bring together world skating’s elites: “Kings On Ice- Olympic Tour 2010”.
The Estonia competition brought the two skaters back into the spotlight. The pair won the silver medal with a record 211.72 points, only 1.43 points less than the pair that ranked first in the contest.
Savchenko and Szolkowy had a historical victory in Germany, as the first pair over the past 11 years to get two consecutive world titles in the figure skating championship (2008 and 2009). They are also the first two skaters to get the highest mark, 10, from the International Skating Union.
The Kings on Ice-Olympic Tour project is a mix of figure skating and live music, created by one of the world’s best known violinists, Edvin Marton, who will bring to Bucharest his famous Stradivarius guitar.

Cea mai premiata pereche de patinatori din Germania - Aliona Savchenko si Robin Szolkowy - va sosi la Bucuresti pe 11 aprilie intr-un show remarcabil de patinaj artistic - Kings on Ice - Olympic Tour 2010! Alaturi de campionul european en titre Evgeni Plushenko si vicecampionul european Stephane Lambiel, spectacolul va reuni sub cupola patinoarului Mihai Flamaropol cele mai reprezentative figuri ale patinajului artistic mondial, in acordurile celebrului violonist Edvin Marton, informeaza Amphitrion, organizatorul evenimentului.
Proaspat laureati cu medalia de argint la Campionatul European de Patinaj Artistic desfasurat luna trecuta la Tallinn, tinerii Aliona Savchenko si Robin Szolkowy vor sosi in Romania, alaturi de alti 14 campioni pentru show-ul ce va reuni elitele patinajului mondial: „Kings On Ice- Olympic Tour 2010”.
Competitia din Estonia i-a readus inca o data in atentia publicului pe cei doi patinatori, perechea obtinand medalia de argint cu un punctaj record de 211.72, cu doar 1.43 de puncte mai putin decat perechea clasata pe locul 1 in cadrul concursului.
Savchenko si Szolkowy au scris istorie in Germania, fiind prima pereche din ultimii 11 ani care a obtinut doua titluri consecutive la Campionatul Mondial de Patinaj Artistic (in 2008 si 2009), fiind in acelasi timp si primii patinatori ce au obtinut nota 10 in urma jurizarii Uniunii Internationale de Patinaj.
Proiectul Kings on Ice- Olympic Tour este o imbinare intre dansul pe gheata si muzica live, bucurandu-se de prezenta unuia dintre cei mai apreciati violonisti ai momentului, Edvin Marton, care va acompania la celebra sa vioara Stradivarius cateva dintre momentele serii.
